My Background
Prior to establishing her consulting firm, Connie spent 30 years in a combination of influential and prominent roles for the state of Texas in the social services industry that included program and project management, supervision, contract management, human resources, program administration and development, volunteer management, and as a nonprofit board member in the community.

When an organization is faced with a significant strategic need, Connie Williams Consulting, Inc. can quickly assemble a team of experienced professionals who have their own practices, and have known and worked closely with Connie Williams for several years. Members of our team include professionals in Research and Evaluation, Accounting, Legal, and Public Relations.
Highlights - Program and Project Management Experience
- Managed a statewide service delivery program for marriage and relationship skills education that was recognized as one of the national models.
- Managed a unit of project managers that designed, developed and implemented million dollar demonstration projects in marriage and relationship skills education.
- Developed an evidence-based youth development program model for economically disadvantaged youth for a prominent youth nonprofit organization.
- Created, developed, and managed complex service delivery demonstration projects through the program design of logic models. Developed and implemented a logic model that incorporated multiple training methodologies in a coordinated setting for post-adoptive parents.
- Worked closely with research and evaluation teams that utilized my logic models to evaluate the service delivery implementation and outcomes of my demonstration projects.
- Supervised a case management unit that provided services to economically disadvantaged parents and received regional and a state award for exceeding outcomes.
- Developed and managed a statewide Certification Training Program for community trainers.
- Created, implemented, and managed a statewide Advisory Council/Board Strategic Planning Training for community volunteers that resulted in eight new community infrastructures.
- Developed and implemented “Hiring JOBS Clients” for AFDC recipients to utilize their volunteer work experience to qualify for agency entry-level clerical positions. This became a regional initiative and was nominated as a semi-finalist with the Innovations in American Government Awards, John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University.
- Developed and presented training to volunteer directors and community volunteers on topics such as Advisory Board Development, Effective Communication, Building Community Partnerships, and How To Start A Volunteer Train-the-trainer Program.
Professional Affiliations
Connie is a past president of a professional women association’s Board of Directors and is past Secretary and Treasurer of the Board of Directors for Lisa’s H.O.P.E. Chest, an organization that provides gently used clothing to individuals in job search. She is also a member of Leadership Texas and Texas Women in Business. Connie has a degree in Business Administration with a minor in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from the University of North Texas and is a member of the Delta Sigma Pi Business Fraternity, Delta Epsilon Chapter. She also received a Diploma of Practical Entrepreneurship after an extensive study program on international entrepreneurship from the World Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies.
